The menu is a startingpoint from which you canopen all applications inthe device or on a memorycard.The menu containsapplications and folders,which are groups ofsimilar applications. Allapplications you install inthe device yourself are bydefault saved in the Installat. folder.To open an application, scroll to it, and press the scroll key.To view the applications in a list, select Options > ChangeMenu view > List. To return to the grid view, selectOptions > Change Menu view > Grid.To view the memory consumption of different applicationsand data stored on the device or memory card and to checkthe amount of free memory, select Options > Memorydetails.To create a new folder, select Options > New folder.To rename a new folder, select Options > Rename.To rearrange the folder, scroll to the application you want tomove, and select Options > Move. A check mark is placedbeside the application. Scroll to a new location, and selectOK.To move an application to a different folder, scroll to theapplication you want to move, and select Options > Moveto folder, the new folder, and OK.To download applications from the web, select Options >Download applications.To switch between several open applications, press and holdthe home key. Select an application, and press the scroll keyto switch to it. Leaving applications running in thebackground increases the demand on battery power andreduces the battery life.Transfer content fromother devicesSelect Menu > Tools > Switch.You can transfer content, such as contacts, from a compatibleNokia device to your new Eseries device using differentconnectivity methods. The type of content that can betransferred depends on the device model. If the other devicesupports synchronization, you can also synchronize databetween the two devices or send data from this device to theother device.When you transfer data from your previous device, it mayrequire you to insert the SIM card. Your new Eseries devicedoes not need a SIM card when transferring data.Content is copied from the memory of the other device to thecorresponding location in your device.
