If you invite someoneto a sharing session and the recipient’s device is turnedoff, is not within UMTS network coverage, or does nothave Video sharing installed or person-to-personconnections set up, the recipient does not know thatyou are sending an invitation. However, you receive anerror message that the recipient cannot accept theinvitation.SettingsPerson-to-person connection settingsA person-to-person connection is also known as a SessionInitiation Protocol (SIP) connection. The SIP profile settingsmust be configured in your device before you can useVideo sharing. Setting up a SIP profile allows you toestablish a live person-to-person connection to anothercompatible device. The SIP profile must also be establishedto receive a sharing session.Ask your network operator or service provider for the SIPprofile settings, and save them in your device. Yournetwork operator or service provider may send you thesettings over the air or give you a list of the neededparameters.If you know a recipient’s SIP address, you can enter it onthe person’s contact card. Open Contacts from your devicemain menu, and open the contact card (or start a new cardfor that person). Select Options > Add detail > SIP orShare view (the correct option depends on the networkoperator). Enter the SIP address in the formatusername@domainname (you can use an IP addressinstead of a domain name).If you do not know a SIP address for the contact, you canalso use the already saved phone number of the recipientincluding the country code, for example +358, to sharevideo. If the phone number saved in Contacts does notinclude the country code, you can enter the numberincluding the country code when sending the invitation.UMTS connection settingsTo set up your UMTS connection, do the following:• Contact your service provider to establish anagreement for you to use the UMTS network.• Ensure that your device UMTS access point connectionsettings are configured properly. For help, see‘Connection’, p. 96.Share live video and video clipsTo receive a sharing session, the recipient must installVideo sharing and configure the required settings on theircompatible mobile device. You and the recipient mustboth be registered to the service before you can startsharing.
