● Light time-out — Select a time-out after which thebacklight of the display is switched off.Standby mode● Shortcuts — Assign shortcuts to the selection keysto be used in the standby mode and select whichapplications are shown in the active toolbar.If the active standby is set off, you can assign keypadshortcuts for the different presses of the scroll key.● Standby theme — Select Horizontal icon bar toview a horizontal toolbar and the content fromdifferent applications on the screen or Vertical iconbar to view a vertical toolbar. The content fromdifferent applications is hidden. To display thecontent, select a shortcut and press the scroll keyleft. Select Basic to switch off active toolbar.● Operator logo — This setting is only available ifyou have received and saved an operator logo.Select Off if you do not want the logo to be shown.LanguageChanging the settings for the phone language orwriting language affects every application in yourdevice until you change these settings again.● Phone language — Change the language of thedisplay text in your device. This also affects theformat used for date and time and the separatorsused, for example, in calculations. Automaticselects the language according to the informationon your SIM card. After you change the display textlanguage, the device restarts.● Writing language — Change the writing language.This affects the characters available when writingtext and the predictive text dictionary used.● Predictive text — Set predictive text input on oroff for all editors in the device. The predictive textdictionary is not available for all languages.Enhancement settingsPress , and select Tools > Settings > General >Enhancement.Some enhancement connectors indicate which type ofenhancement is connected to the device. See "Displayindicators", p. 26.The available settings depend on the type ofenhancement. Select an enhancement and from thefollowing:● Default profile — Set the profile that you wantactivated each time you connect a certaincompatible enhancement to your device.● Automatic answer — Select whether you want thedevice to answer an incoming call automaticallyafter 5 seconds. If the ringing type is set to Beeponce or Silent, automatic answer is disabled.● Lights — Set whether lights remain on or areswitched off after the time-out.
