● Some vehicles have tinted (athermic) windows,which may block the satellite signals.Check satellite signal statusTo check how many satellites your device has found,and whether your device is receiving satellite signals,press , and select Tools > Connectivity > GPSdata > Position > Options > Satellite status.If your device has foundsatellites, a bar for eachsatellite is shown in thesatellite info view. The longerthe bar, the stronger thesatellite signal. When yourdevice has received enoughdata from the satellite signal to calculate thecoordinates of your location, the bar turns black.Initially your device must receive signals from at leastfour satellites to be able to calculate the coordinatesof your location. When the initial calculation has beenmade, it may be possible to continue calculating thecoordinates of your location with three satellites.However, the accuracy is generally better when moresatellites are found.Position requestsYou may receive a request from a network service toreceive your position information. Service providersmay offer information about local topics, such asweather or traffic conditions, based on the location ofyour device.When you receive a position request, a message isdisplayed showing the service that is making therequest. Select Accept to allow your positioninformation to be sent or Reject to deny the request.LandmarksPress , and select Tools > Connectivity >Landmarks.With Landmarks, you can save the position informationof specific locations in your device. You can sort thesaved locations into different categories, such asbusiness, and add other information to them, such asaddresses. You can use your saved landmarks incompatible applications, such as GPS data and Maps.GPS coordinates are expressed in degrees and decimaldegrees format using the international WGS-84coordinate system.To create a new landmark, select Options > Newlandmark. To make a positioning request for yourcurrent location, select Current position.
