Inspect the packing cartridge/needle assembly (32) carefully for burnholes or cracks. Install a new packing cartridge/needle assembly ifyou see any signs of wear or damage.2. Inspect all the gun parts, especially seals, gaskets, and O-rings, forsigns of wear or damage, and replace parts as required.3. Clean the AN-8 Plus gun and replace the O-rings as follows.a. Lubricate all new O-rings with O-ring lubricant before installingthem into the gun.CAUTION: Do not use metal tools to clean the air cap or fluidtip. Metal tools can damage the precisely drilled holes anddistort the fan pattern.b. Clean the gun handle (17) and gun extension (30) with acompatible cleaning solution. Use a soft bristle brush that iscompatible with the cleaning solution, or use a wooden toothpickto clean the fluid tip (2) and air cap (1).c. Thoroughly dry all the parts before assembling the gun.4. Discard all damaged or worn parts. Do not attempt to re-use theseparts.NOTE: Always apply dielectric grease into the high-voltage bore of thegun after disassembling or repairing the gun, or after removing the cablefrom the gun.
