Lock NowThe settings configured in the Lock Menu sub menu override the settingsreceived from the DHCP string.For more information about 4. Lock Menu manual user settings, seeAppendix "Configuring the Local Tools menu" (page 473).Configuring Secure Local Menu through Full DHCPPassword protection is enabled during Full DHCP configuration if theSECUREMENU parameter, or the PARTSECURE parameter are present atthe end of the S4 part of the Full DHCP string. If neither the SECUREMENUparameter, nor the PARTSECURE parameter is present, passwordprotection is not enabled.The SECUREMENU/PARTSECURE item is an optional parameter. If it ispresent, then the full S4 string needs to be present, including the actionand retries. The S4 string is already present if the XAS support has beenconfigured through the DHCP. If XAS is not configured, you can still enablepassword protection by setting the S4 IP address to 0.0.0.0 and by settingthe other fields to 0.ATTENTIONWith Full DHCP, the vendor-specific or site-specific options must be configureddepending on the customers DHCP server configuration.For further information about configuring Full DHCP, see Converging theData Network with VoIP Fundamentals (NN43001-260).Accessing the Local Tools menuAfter you enter the password, the Local Tools menu remains active for 5minutes. You can freely navigate, exit and reenter the Local Tools menuwithout being prompted to reenter the password. To reset the timer beforethe 5-minute time expires, double-press the Services key.You can also press the 5 key to select the Lock Now item from the LockMenu. The Lock Now item immediately exits the Local Tools menu, closesany open Local Tools menu pages, and locks the Local Tools menu.Alternatively, when time expires, the Local Tools menu and any opensubmenus are closed.
