92 Configuring Bluetooth wireless headsetsATTENTIONNortel recommends that you not pair more than one headset of the same model,because they appear with identical names in the Paired list.PrerequisitesBluetooth wireless technology must be available for use on your phone.Check with your administrator.To perform this procedure, you need information provided with the headsetdocumentation.• You must put the Bluetooth technology headset in pairing or searchmode. For a Voyager PLT 510, the steps are included in this procedure.For other headsets, refer to the headset documentation or contact thevendor for this procedure.• In the following procedure, step 8 requires you to enter the headsetPIN (sometimes called a passkey). You can find this information in theheadset documentation. Typically this value is 0000.Step Action1 On the IP Phone terminal, double-press the headset key.The Bluetooth Setup dialog box appears. The Enable Bluetoothcheck box is highlighted.It the set up menu fails to open, the feature is not available on yourIP Phone.2 Press the send key to activate Bluetooth wireless technology.A check mark indicates that the feature is activated. A BT Enabledmessage appears at the bottom of the display.3 Put your Bluetooth technology headset in its pairing or search mode.If your headset is a Voyager PLT 510, perform these steps (for othertypes, refer the documentation provided with the headset):a. Turn the headset off by pressing and holding the headsetkey until you hear a tone through the headset. This takesapproximately 3 or 4 seconds.The blue headset LED turns off.b. Press and hold the headset key until the blue LED flashes andthen lights steadily. This takes approximately 8 seconds.4 Perform these steps to search for the paired headset:a. Press the right navigation key twice to select Search.b.
