3-1Contivity 221 VPN Switch User’s GuideChapter 3Wizard SetupThis chapter provides information on the Wizard screens in the WebGUI.3.1 Wizard OverviewThe WebGUI’s setup wizard helps you configure your device to access the Internet. The secondscreen has three variations depending on what encapsulation type you use. Refer to your ISPchecklist in the Quick Start Guide to know what to enter in each field. Leave a field blank if youdon’t have that information.3.2 Wizard Setup: General Setup and System NameGeneral Setup contains administrative and system-related information. System Name is foridentification purposes. However, because some ISPs check this name you should enter yourcomputer's "Computer Name".• In Windows 95/98 click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Network. Click the Identificationtab, note the entry for the Computer Name field and enter it as the System Name.• In Windows 2000, click Start, Settings, Control Panel and then double-click System. Clickthe Network Identification tab and then the Properties button. Note the entry for theComputer name field and enter it as the System Name.• In Windows XP, click Start, My Computer, View system information and then click theComputer Name tab. Note the entry in the Full computer name field and enter it as theContivity 221 System Name.3.2.1 Domain NameThe Domain Name entry is what is propagated to the DHCP clients on the LAN. If you leave thisblank, the domain name obtained by DHCP from the ISP is used. While you must enter the hostname (System Name) on each individual computer, the domain name can be assigned from theContivity 221 via DHCP.Click Next to configure the Contivity 221 for Internet access.
