backlight environment is washed out to white. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)The wide dynamic range (WDR) function helps the camera provide clear images even under backlight circumstances. When there are both very bright and very dark areas simultaneously in thefield of view, WDR balances the brightness level of the whole image and provide clear imageswith details.You can enable or disable the WDR function as shown in Figure 6-35. HLCHLC (High Light Compensation) makes the camera identify and suppress the strong light sourcesthat usually flare across a scene. This makes it possible to see the detail of the image that wouldnormally be hidden.White BalanceThe White Balance mode can be set to Auto, MWB, Outdoor, Indoor, Fluorescent Lamp, SodiumLamp and Auto-Track. Auto:In Auto mode, the camera retains color balance automatically according to the current colortemperature.
