On certainoccasions, you might want to prevent a downed cluster node from rebooting so you can troubleshootproblems.1 Open the opt/novell/ncs/bin/ldncs file in a text editor.2 Find the following line:echo -n $TOLERANCE > /proc/sys/kernel/panic3 Replace $TOLERANCE with a value of 0 to cause the server to not automatically reboot aftera shutdown.4 After editing the ldncs file, you must reboot the server to cause the change to take effect.8.12 Renaming a Pool for a Pool ClusterResourceWhen a cluster-enabled NSS pool is used as a Novell Cluster Services cluster resource, special stepsmust be followed if you decide to rename the pool.1 Cluster migrate the pool resource to the node in the cluster where the pool was initially created.2 Offline the pool cluster resource.3 Activate the pool by using iManager or NSSMU.4 Rename the pool.After the rename, the pool is in a deactive state.5 Online the pool cluster resource.Novell Cluster Services automatically updates the pool resource load and unload scripts to reflectthe name change. Also, NSS automatically changes the Pool Resource object name in eDirectory.8.13 Moving a Cluster, or Changing IPAddresses, LDAP Server, or AdministratorCredentials for a ClusterUse the instructions in this section to change the IP addresses of the cluster, information about theLDAP server that the cluster uses, or the credentials used to administer the cluster.
