184 OES 2 SP2: Novell Cluster Services 1.8.7 for Linux Administration Guidenovdocx (en) 7 January 201012.2.2 Configuring Virtual Machine Load, Unload, and MonitorScriptsThe Xen resource templates configure the virtual machine resource by automatically creating load, unload, and monitor scripts, setting failover and failback modes, and assigning the virtual machineas a resource to all nodes in the cluster. The load, unload, and monitor scripts for virtual machine cluster resources do not need to bemodified if all the following are true: The resource name is the same as the virtual machine name. The configuration filename is the same as the virtual machine name. The mount point directory name is the same as the virtual machine name. You are using the Reiser file system. If you are not modifying the scripts, continue the setup by configuring the resource policies and theresource server assignments. For information, see Section 9.7, “Setting Start, Failover, and FailbackModes for Cluster Resources,” on page 125 and Section 9.8, “Assigning Nodes to a Resource,” onpage 127.If you are modifying the scripts, continue with the following sections: “Configuring the Load Script” on page 184 “Configuring the Unload Script” on page 185 “Configuring the Monitor Script” on page 187Configuring the Load ScriptThe virtual machine resource load script page should already be displayed. The load script containscommands to start the virtual machine. You can customize some commands for your specificconfiguration.1 View and, if necessary, edit the lines in the script for your specific directory structure, mountpoint, configuration file, and file system type (in the Xen_Template).See the following examples of the default Xen_Template and XenLive_Template load scripts: “Sample Xen_Template Load Script” on page 184 “Sample XenLive_Template Load Script” on page 1852 Click Next and continue with “Configuring the Unload Script” on page 185.Sample Xen_Template Load ScriptThe Xen_Template load script appears similar to the following example:
