Adventurer Pro Grain Test ScaleEN-143.6.3 Dockage ModeDockage is material other than the predominant grain that can be easily removed with sievesand cleaning devices. The dockage mode is used to determine the percent of waste materialcontained in the sample. Before starting, select the test weight container and dockage type inthe Mode Menu (See Section 3.7.5).Store Dockage Reference WeightPlace the container on the pan and tare by pressing theON O/T button. The tare weight is stored in memory.Fill the container with sample material and press the % button.If the current weight is less than the minimum allowedreference weight (10 grams), the secondary displayalternates between “MIN WT ERR” and “NOT STORED” twicewhile returning to current mode.The scale then returns to the previous mode if the minimumweight is not accepted as shown.If the sample weight is greater than or equal to 10 grams, the sample weight is established asthe Dockage Reference weight and is stored in memory as the 100% reference weight for thedockage calculation. Additionally, the tare weight is stored in memory as the dockage tareweight. With the sample still on the pan, the primary display shows 100.00 if Positive Dockageis selected in the Dockage menu. If Negative Dockage is selected, the primary display shows0.00. The user can process the sample to remove any undesirable material. After processing,the user will place the container back on the pan, and the display will read the dockage value.The % display icon indicates percent and the MEM icon indicates a dockage reference weightis stored in memory. A display icon also annunciates stability. The secondary display shows+DOCKAGE or -DOCKAGE.Remove container from the scale. Scale maynow be used to weigh by pressing the UNITbutton. The MEM icon indicates that aDockage Reference Weight is stored.
