B25001 - InstallationB2500 MFP User’s Guide13device installation1 Unpack the device.2 Install the device respecting the security notices stated at the beginning of this booklet.3 Remove all stickers from the machine.4 Remove the plastic protection film from the display screen.Loading paperLoading paper in the main unit tray and supplementary paper feed(1) Paper to be used must be inserted with the face down, and abutting the side and back guides. Notabutting the paper may cause feed failure, skewing, and paper jams.(2) Amount of loaded paper must not exceed the loading mark. If the loading mark is exceeded, thismay cause feed failure, skewing, and paper jams.(3) Adding paper to the stack may cause double feeding, and should be avoided.(4) When withdrawing the cassette from the main unit, always support it with both hands.Pulling the cassette out quickly with one hand, may lead to it being unable to be supported, and beingdropped.Paper Handling(1) Paper curling must be corrected before printing.(2) Curls must not exceed 10 mm.(3) Care must be taken with storage to prevent feed faults and image defects due to leaving the paperin conditions of high humidity.Adding paper to the pile, or splitting the pile may cause feeding problems, and must be avoided.Humidity control(1) Do not use paper which has become damp, or paper which has been left unused for a very long time.(2) After opening the paper, it must be kept in a plastic bag.(3) Do not use paper with waved ends, paper which is creased, paper with crumples, and any other non-normal paper.Handling the unitMoving the unitWhen moving the unit on a desk, it must be lifted, and not dragged.Paper Feed cassette insertionYour device accepts a number of formats and types of papers.You can use paper weighing between 17 and 28 lb. (60 and 105 g/m2).
