CX2032 MFP Userís Guide Installing upgrades130Memory upgradeThis section explains how to install additional RAM memory into yourMFP as a memory upgrade.The model comes equipped with 256MB of main memory.This can beupgraded with an additional memory board containing either 256MB or512MB, giving a total memory capacity of either 512MB or 768MBmaximum.1. Switch the MFP off and disconnect the AC power cable.2. Pull open the access panel on the side of the machine. Sidecover open.eps3. Carefully remove the new memory board from its wrapping. Tryto handle the board only by its short edges, avoiding contact withany metal parts as far as possible. In particular, avoid touchingthe edge connector.4. Notice that the memory board has a small cutout in the edgeconnector, which is closer to one end than the other. RAMBoard.eps5. Identify the RAM expansion slot (1) in the machine.6. Hold the new memory board by its short edges, so that the edgeconnector faces in towards the RAM expansion slot, and the smallcutout is closer to the bottom of the machine.
