68Using Manual Focus (MF)By setting the camera in the manual focus mode, you can focus the subject manuallywithin the range 20 cm to ∞ (8 in. to ∞) by turning the manual focus ring.1 Set the focus mode switch to MF(manual focus), as shown by thearrow in the illustration on the left.The manual focus mark MF appears in theupper right part of the control panel.2 Turn the manual focus ring untilyou see the subject focused in theviewfinder or the monitor.Using the focus ring designThe manual focus mechanism of this camera reads the direction and distance the manual focus ringis moved and drives the focusing lens with a small motor.
