31 ShootingTime stamp functionThe date and time of recording can be recorded tovideo images.Select [ON] in the [TIME STAMP] item on thesettings menu [RECORD SETUP] screen.When the TIME STAMP function is [ON], [ R ] willbe displayed in front of the date and time display inthe viewfinder and the LCD monitor. In addition, themonth display will change from a numerical valueto an English name display.• [ R ] display itself will not be recorded to the video.• The size and position of the time and datecharacters recorded to the image will varydepending on the recording format.• The size and position of the time stampcharacters in external output displays mayvary from the displays in the LCD monitor orviewfinder.• The recorded time and date display will follow thesettings made in the [DATE/TIME] item on the[DISPLAY SETUP] screen. If this item is set to[OFF], the date and time will not be recorded as atime stamp.• To avoid date and time displays overlappingwhen clips with timestamps recorded are playedwith this camera, set the [DATE/TIME] item onthe [DISPLAY SETUP] screen to [OFF]. You canalso hide the date and time display by pressingthe button.Relay functionWhen the remaining space on a memory card isinsufficient during recording, recording can becontinued using the memory card in the other slot.Set the [RELAY REC] item on the setup menu[RECORDING SETUP] screen to [ON].• When the remaining space on a memory cardis insufficient during recording, recording willautomatically be continued using the memorycard in the other slot.• Relay recording is not available when arecordable memory card is not inserted in thememory card slot.• The camera is capable of continuous recordingfor up to 12 hours maximum. This cannot beextended even if the relay function is used.
