37Battery PowerWhen the Remaining Battery Charge Becomes LowThe following is factory default setting.Above settings can be changed.A Display [Alarms] screen.Select [start] - [Control Panel] - [Performance and Maintenance] - [PowerOptions] - [Alarms].When remaining battery capacity falls to10%[Low battery alarm]When remaining battery capacity falls to 5%[Critical battery alarm]z Displays a message indicating the lowbattery level.z Displays a message indicating the lowbattery level and the computer will enterhibernation mode.Charge your battery. Connect the AC adaptor or replace thebattery pack before starting up the computernext time.z Connect the AC adaptor immediately. Ifyou do not have the AC adaptor with you,exit any programs currently running, thenexit Windows, and confirm that the powerindicator is off.z If you have a fully charged spare battery,turn off the computer, replace the batterypack, and turn the computer on again.z Connect the AC adaptor, then charge thebattery.z If you have a fully charged spare battery,turn off the computer, replace the batterypack, and turn the computer on again.After the computer enter hibernationmode when the battery runs down, ifcomputer operations are resumedwithout charging the battery, Windowsmay not start up properly, and in somecases the alarm function may not operateproperly from that point on.Do not replace the battery pack while the computer is in standby mode.
