6512.4.4 Connect the Cable to the Outdoor Unit1 Remove the control board cover from the unitby loosening the screw.2 Cable connection to the power supply throughIsolating Devices (Disconnecting means).o Connect approved type polychloroprenesheathed power supply cord3 × 1.5 mm2 (1.0 ~ 1.75HP), 3 × 2.5 mm2(2.0HP) type designation 60245 IEC 57or heavier cord to the terminal board, andconnect the others end of the cord toIsolating Devices (Disconnecting means).o Do not use joint power supply cord.Replace the wire if the existing wire (fromconcealed wiring, or otherwise) is tooshort.o In unavoidable case, joining of powersupply cord between isolating devicesand terminal board of air conditioner shallbe done by using approved socket andplug with earth pin rated 15/16A(1.0 ~ 1.75HP) or 16A (2.0HP). Wiringwork to both socket and plug must followto national wiring standard.3 Connection cable between indoor unit andoutdoor unit shall be approvedpolychloroprene sheathed 4 × 1.5 mm2 flexiblecord, type designation 60245 IEC 57 orheavier cord. Do not use joint connectioncable. Replace the wire if the existing wire(from concealed wiring, or otherwise) is tooshort. Allowable connection cable length ofeach indoor unit shall be 30 m or less.4 Demand control signal transmission cablebetween outdoor unit and DRED (Demandresponse enabling devices) shall be doubleinsulation layer, polychloroprene sheathed(>50V) or type destination AS/NZS 50000.2with size 4 × (0.5 mm 2 to 2.0 mm 2) cable, where the maximum allowable length is 30 m.5 Connect the power supply cord andconnection cable between indoor unit andoutdoor unit according to the diagram below.6 Secure the power supply cord and connection cable onto the control board with the holder.7 Attach the control board cover back to the original position with screw.8 For wire stripping and connection requirement, refer to instruction 12.2.4 of indoor unit.o Note: Isolating Devices (Disconnecting means) should have minimum 3.0 mm contact gap.o Earth wire shall be Yellow/Green (Y/G) in colour and longer than other AC wires for safety reason.o Always ensure all above connections compliant with national wire rules.WARNINGThis equipment must be properly earthed.12.4.5 Piping Insulation1 Please carry out insulation at pipe connection portion as mentioned in Indoor/Outdoor Unit InstallationDiagram. Please wrap the insulated piping end to prevent water from going inside the piping.2 If drain hose or connecting piping is in the room (where dew may form), please increase the insulation byusing POLY-E FOAM with thickness 6 mm or above.TerminalBoardHolderPowersupplycordIndoor &outdoorconnectioncableDRED(Demandresponseenablingdevices)Isolating Devices Indoor unit RemoteAgentEarth wirelongerthanothersAC wiresfor safetyreasonDRM Terminal on theoutdoor unit321tinuroodniehtnoslanimreT 1 2 3 C Colour of wires(connection cable)Colour of wires (connection cable)Terminals on the outdoor unit L N 1 2 3 (1) (2) (3) (C) Terminal on the DRED(Demand responseenabling devices)(Power supply cord)Terminals on the isolating devices(Disconnecting means)(L) (N)
