11RQT7458Getting startedSTEP 2 Channel reception settingsWhen connecting to a television that has the Q Linkfunction (➡page 49) with a fully wired 21-pin Scart lead(➡page 7).You can download the tuning positions from the television.This unit’s Auto Clock Setting function synchronizes the time whenthe TV channel that is broadcasting time and date information istuned.1 Turn on the television and select theappropriate AV input to suit theconnections to this unit.2 Press [Í DVD] to turn the unit on.Downloading from the television starts.3 When downloading has completed, the Owner IDsettings screen appears.Press [1] and press the numberedbuttons to enter a 4-digit PIN number.≥Make a note of the PIN number (don’t forget), as it is notpossible to return to the factory preset.4 Press [ENTER] twice to store the PINnumber.The cursor moves to “Name”.5 Press [1].6 Press [3, 4] to select a letter andthen press [1].Repeat this to enter the name.7 Press [ENTER] to store the name.8 Press [4] and [1], and then repeatsteps 6, 7 to enter and store “HouseNo.” and “Postcode”.9 Press [RETURN].The Owner ID settings screen disappears.To stop partwayPress [RETURN].∫ If the clock setting menu appearsSet the clock manually (➡ page 46).∫ To confirm that stations have been tunedcorrectly (➡page 44)∫ To restart Preset Download (➡page 45)∫ If you connect other equipment to AV2 terminalof this unitChange the “AV2 Input” and “AV2 Connection” in the SETUP menuto match the connected equipment (➡ page 43).∫ If there is interference or a very poor pictureappears on the TV screenRefer to “Removing Interference” on page 13, and perform steps 1,2 and 4 to stop the RF output.
