(This may cause discwarping and un-balanced rotation, rendering it unusable.)• Write on the label side of the disc only with a soft, oil-basedfelt pen. Do not use ballpoint pens or other hard writingimplements. (This may cause disc warping and un-balanced rotation, rendering it unusable.)• Do not use record cleaning sprays, benzine, thinner, staticelectricity prevention liquids or any other solvent.• Do not use scratch-proof protectors or covers.• Do not drop stack, or impact discs. Do not place objects on them.• Do not use the following discs:–Discs with exposed adhesive from removed stickers orlabels (rental discs, etc.).–Discs that are badly warped or cracked.–Irregularly shaped discs,such as heart shapes.• Do not place in the followingareas:–In direct sunlight.–In very dusty or humid areas.–Near a heater.–Locations susceptible to significant difference intemperature (condensation can occur).–Where static electricity or electromagnetic waves occur.• To protect discs from scratches and dirt, return them to theircases or cartridges when you are not using them.The precision parts in this unit are readily affected by theenvironment, especially temperature, humidity, and dust.Cigarette smoke also can cause malfunction orbreakdown.To clean this unit, wipe with a soft, dry cloth.• Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean thisunit.• Before using chemically treated cloth, carefully read theinstructions that came with the cloth.Observe the following points to ensure continuedlistening and viewing pleasure.Dust and dirt may adhere to the unit’s lens over time, makingit impossible to record or play discs.Use the DVD lens cleaner (RP-CL720E) about once everyyear, depending on frequency of use and the operatingenvironment.
