INTENDED USEThese tools can be used to tightenscrews in clutch mode and to drillholes in wood and metal in drill mode.Additionally, model EY79A3 can beused to drill holes in soft concrete andsimilar materials in hammer mode.II. ADDITIONALSAFETY RULES1) If the bit becomes jammed, immedi-ately turn the trigger switch off toprevent an overload, which candamage the battery pack or motor.Use reverse motion to loosen jammedbits.2) Do NOT operate Forward/Reverselever when the trigger switch is on.The battery will discharge rapidly anddamage to the main unit may occur.3) During charging, the charger maybecome slightly warm. This is normal.Do NOT charge the battery for a longperiod.4) Do not strain the tool by holding thespeed control trigger halfway (speedcontrol mode) so that the motor stops.5) To prevent injury during use, hold thetool steady at all times and avoidwaving it around.6) Ensure that there are no hidden gasor water pipes in the area in whichyou will be working. Contact withhidden pipes or wires could causeelectric shock or water or gas leaks.7) Make sure to hold the object you areworking on steady.8) Check for damaged parts.• Check thoroughly for damage to theprotective cover and other partsbefore operating.• Check to make sure the tool and allof its functions are working properly.• Check the adjustment of all movableparts, and check all fixed parts tomake sure they are fitted properlyand free of damage. Check all partsof the tool for abnormal function.9) When attempting to repair the protec-tive cover or other parts, please followthe instructions in the user manual. Incases where there are no instructionsin the manual, please take it back tothe store to have it repaired.10) If the tool gets exceptionally hotduring use, please take it in forservice and repair.11) To avoid potential injury, keep faceand hands away from the drill bit andany shavings.12) Do not wear gloves when operatingthe tool, as they may get caught bythe drill, leading to injury.13) Battery terminals, screw shavings,and tool accessories such as drill bitswill be very hot immediately afteroperation.
