61OperationsFor fax advantage assistance, call 1-800-435-7329.Fax – receiving (cont.)ProblemlIf a blank sheet is ejected after the received document isprinted out, the receiving reduction rate is not programmedcorrectly. Program the proper rate in feature #36 (p. 53).lThe other party placed the document in their fax machinethe wrong way. Check with the other party.lThe glass or rollers are dirty. Clean them (p. 67).lThe other party sent a faint document. Ask them to send aclearer copy of the document.lThe thermal head is dirty. Clean it (p. 68).lSome paper has instructions recommending which side toprint on. Try turning the paper over. We recommend smoothpaper such as Hammermill Jet Print for clearer printing.lYou may have used paper with a cotton and/or fibercontent that is over 20%, such as letterhead or resumepaper.
