The voice mailbox can be monitored inone of two ways — Hands-free Mode or Private Mode.Hands-free ModeThe voice mailbox is monitored through the built-in speakerof the proprietary telephone.Private ModeThe proprietary telephone emits an alert tone when callers areconnected to the voice mailbox. To monitor the call, the usergoes off hook with the handset or speakerphone.Alert ToneTo intercept the call in either Hands-Free or Private mode, press theLCS button.A standard telephone, which is connected to a proprietary telephonein parallel, can be also used to monitor a message recording.Be sure that Live Call Screening on the connected proprietarytelephone has been activated.This feature is useful when you are using a cordless telephone(standard telephone). The handset emits an alert tone to let youknow that a message is being recorded. To intercept the call, flashthe hookswitch.Conditions • When the extension user is having a conversation, a call waiting tone issent. The user can put the existing call on hold before accessing LCS.• A flexible CO and DSS (Direct Station Selection) button can beassigned as a Live Call Screening button.• To prevent unauthorized monitoring, a three-digit password must be setby the LCS user.
