Conference54While you are talking with an outside caller, you can call the base unit orthe handset to make a conference call. When the system has one or moreadditional handsets (p. 26), you can make a conference call with yourhandset and another handset.Handset1 During a call, press (HOLD)(TRANSFER).•“ ” flashes on the displayand the call is put on hold.2 To page the base unit, press (0).ORTo page another handset (whenthe system has additionalhandsets, p. 26), enter theextension number using thedialing button ((1) to (8)).3 When the paged partyanswers, press(CONF/FUNCTION) on yourhandset to make a conferencecall.•To leave the conference, press(OFF). The two other parties cancontinue the conversation.IN USEBase unit1 During a call, press(LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER).•The call is put on hold and theIN USE indicator flashes.2 To page the handset, enterthe extension number usingthe dialing button ((1) to (8)).3 When the paged partyanswers, press (CONF) on thebase unit to make aconference call.•To leave the conference, press(DIGITAL!SP-PHONE). The twoother parties can continue theconversation.•During a conference, the outside call can be placed on hold by pressing (HOLD)(TRANSFER) on the handset or (HOLD) on the base unit. Internal communicationsbetween extensions are not suspended. Only the person who placed the call onhold can resume the full conference; press (CONF/FUNCTION) on the handset or(CONF) on the base unit.•Two more extensions can join the conference call if all other extensions are notbeing used.
