38Answering CallsWhen a call is received, the unit rings, “Incoming call” and the called line aredisplayed, and the Ringer/Message Alert indicator on the handset and the linebutton on the base unit flash rapidly.2 calls can be handled simultaneously on separate telephone lines by the handsetand the base unit.Auto TalkIf the Auto Talk feature is turned on (p. 22), you can answer a call by simply liftingthe handset off the base unit.Temporary ringer offWhile the handset is ringing, you can turn the ringer off temporarily by pressing[OFF].
