Contactyour telephone company to subscribe.L If your unit is connected to any additional telephoneequipment such as a Caller ID box or wirelesstelephone jack, disconnect the unit from the equipmentand plug the unit directly into the wall jack.L If your unit is connected to a telephone line with DSLservice, we recommend connecting a noise filterbetween the base unit and the telephone line jack.Contact your DSL provider for details.L The name display service may not be available in someareas. Contact your telephone company for details.L Other telephone equipment may be interfering with thisunit. Disconnect the other equipment and try again.L The caller requested not to send caller information(page 33).L If a call is being transferred to you, the caller informationwill not be displayed.L Generally caller information is displayed from the 2ndring.The handset or base unitdoes not announce thedisplayed caller names.L The handset or base unit’s ringer volume is turned off.Adjust it (page 27, 48).L The Talking Caller ID feature is turned off. Turn it on(page 52, 55).L Caller names will usually be announced after the 2ndring.L The ring count for the answering system is set to “2” or“Toll saver”. Select a different setting (page 64).The handset or base unitdoes not announce thedisplayed caller’s namecorrectly.L Name pronunciation may vary. This feature may notpronounce all names correctly.L The handset or base unit will announce each letter ofabbreviations, such as “Co.” and “Inc.”.L Caller ID supports name of up to 15 letters. If the caller’sname has more than 15 letters, the name will not beannounced correctly.The caller list/incomingphone numbers are notedited automatically.L The Caller ID number auto edit feature is turned off.Turn it on and try again (page 52).L You need to call back the edited number to activateCaller ID number auto edit.I cannot dial the phonenumber edited in thecaller list.L The phone number you dialed might have an incorrectedited pattern (for example, the long distance “1” or thearea code is missing). Edit the phone number withanother pattern (page 35).
