Press {R} toanswer the 2nd call.L To switch between calls, press {R}.Key lockThe handset can be locked so that no calls orsettings can be made. Incoming calls can beanswered, but all other functions are disabledwhile key lock is on.To turn key lock on, press {#} for about 2 secondsin standby mode.L p is displayed.L To turn key lock off, press {#} again for about 2seconds in standby mode.Note:L Calls to emergency numbers cannot be madeuntil key lock is turned off.Temporary tone dialling (for rotary/pulseservice users)You can temporarily switch the dialling mode totone when you need to access touch-tone services(e.g., telephone banking services).1 Make a call.2 Press {*} when prompted to enter your codeor PIN, then press the appropriate dial keys.Note:L The dialling mode will return to pulse when youhang up.Answering calls1 Lift the handset and press {C} or {s} whenthe unit rings.L Speakerphone cannot be used when theheadset is connected.2 When finished talking, press {i} or place thehandset on the base unit.Auto talk featureYou can answer calls simply by lifting the handsetoff the base unit. You do not need to press {C}.To turn this feature on, see page 15.Adjusting the handset ringer volume whenreceiving a callPress {^} or {V}.Temporary ringer offWhile the handset is ringing for a call, you can turnthe ringer off temporarily by pressing {i}.Silent modeTo switch off the ringer, press and hold {*} whenin standby mode until ~ shows on the display.L When an incoming call is received, only kflashes on the display to indicate an incomingcall. To switch on the ringer, press and hold {*}when in standby mode until ~ disappears fromthe display.Note:L Even if silent mode is set, the handset will ringfor paging.Handset locatorUsing this feature, you can locate the handset if ithas been misplaced.1 Press {x} on the base unit.2 To stop paging, press {x} on the base unit orpress {i} on each handset.
