Answering System43Answering systemThe answering system can answer andrecord calls for you when you areunavailable to answer the phone. Youcan also record phone conversations(page 19).You can also set the unit to play agreeting message but not to recordcaller messages by selecting“Greeting Only” as the recordingtime setting (page 48).Important:L Only 1 person can access theanswering system (listen tomessages, record a greetingmessage, etc.) at a time.L When callers leave messages, theunit records the day and time of eachmessage. Make sure the date andtime have been set correctly (page15).L The unit’s answering system will notanswer incoming calls on yourFaxAbility number. (for New Zealand)Memory capacity (includingyour greeting message)The total recording capacity is about 40minutes.
