Handset equalizerThis feature clarifies the voice of the personyou are talking to, producing a morenatural-sounding voice that is easier to hearand understand.1 Press MMENUN while talking.2 MbN: “Equalizer” a MSELECTN3 MbN: Select the desired setting.4 Press MOKN to exit.Note:R Depending on the condition and quality ofyour telephone line, this feature mayemphasize existing line noise. If it becomesdifficult to hear, select another setting.R This feature is not available while using thespeakerphone and Bluetooth headphone.R When both the “Equalizer” setting andnoise reduction are activated, isshown on the display.Recording a telephoneconversation (2-way recording)This unit can record a telephoneconversations during outside calls.1 Press MMENUN during a outside call.2 MbN: “2 way recording” a MSELECTNR The total recordable time is displayed.R The unit announces to both parties thatthe recording will start.R The unit starts recording.3 To stop recording, press MMENUN aMbN: “Stop recording” a MSELECTNR You can continue the conversationwith the outside caller.Note:R When recording is completed:– The total number of recordings will beadded to the number of messages in theanswering system.– M N on the base unit flashes.– “New message” is displayed.– Audible message alert sounds on baseunit (page 50).R To listen to the recorded conversation, refer“Listening to messages”, page 49.R 2 way recording is not available duringconference calls.R The recording will end in the followingsituations:– When MFLASHN is pressed.– When the hold or intercom feature isused.R When memory is/becomes full:– “Memory full” is shown on thedisplay.– An error tone sounds.Call shareYou can join an existing outside call.To join the conversation, press MTALK/ZNwhen the other unit is on an outside call.Note:R When another user joins the conversation,the interrupt tone sounds.R A maximum of 3 parties (including 1 outsideparty) can join a conversation using 2extensions.
