ENGLISHRecording Yourself(Recording with the LCD Monitor Facing Forward)This makes it possible to record yourself while viewing thepicture on the LCD Monitor or to show the persons in front ofthe Movie Camera the picture being recorded.1 Open the LCD Monitor and turn It so that itfaces forward (lens side).•Opening the LCD Monitor automatically turns off theFinder. However, when you turn the LCD Monitorforward, the picture also appears in the Finder.•This lets you aim the Movie Camera and view thepicture in the Finder, while the persons in front of theMovie Camera can check the picture on the LCDMonitor during recording.Mirror Mode for the Picture on the LCD MonitorYou are used to looking at yourself In the mirror. Therefore,when recording yourself with the LCD Monitor facing forward,the picture (as It is being recorded) might look unusual anddistracting. If you prefer to see yourself on the LCD Monitor inthe same way as you see yourself In a mirror, i.e. with thesides reversed, set [SELFSHOOT) on the [OTHERFUNCTIONS] Sub-Menu to [MIRROR]. However, the picturewill still be recorded in the normal, non-reversed way.This mirror mode for the picture on the LCD Monitor worksonly during recording and in the Recording Pause Mode withthe LCD Monitor facing forward. Also, it is completely differentfrom the Mirror Mode of the Digital Effects 1 (* 86).•In the Mirror Mode, only the following indications aredisplayed.•: Recording•II: Recording Pause Remaining Battery PowerWhen the General Waming/Alarm Indication [|Tj] appears,turn the LCD Monitor backward so that you can confirm theactual Warning/Alarm Indication (-► 184).
