Others77VQT1L41While carrying the movie camera, do not dropor bump it.≥A strong impact on the movie camera maybreak its housing, causing it to malfunction.Do not use benzine, paint thinner or alcoholfor cleaning the movie camera.≥Before cleaning, detach the battery or pull outthe AC mains lead from the AC mains socket.≥The camera body may be discoloured and thesurface finish may peel off.≥Wipe the movie camera with a soft dry cloth toremove dust and fingerprints. To removestubborn stains, wring well a cloth that is soakedin a neutral detergent diluted with water andwipe the movie camera with it. Afterwards, wipeit with a dry cloth.≥When you use a chemical dust cloth, follow theinstructions.Do not use this movie camera for surveillancepurposes or other business use.≥If you use the movie camera for a long time, theinternal temperature increases and,consequently, this may cause malfunction.≥This movie camera is not intended for businessuse.When you are not going to use movie camerafor an extended time≥When storing the unit in a cupboard or acabinet, it is recommended that you put adesiccant (silica gel) in with it.ª About the batteryThe battery used in the movie camera is arechargeable lithium ion battery. This battery issusceptible to temperature and humidity, and theeffect of temperature increases with increasing ordecreasing temperature. In the low temperaturerange, the fully charged indication may notappear, or the low battery indication may appearabout 5 minutes after the start of use. At hightemperature, moreover, the protection functionmay work, disabling use of the movie camera.Be sure to detach the battery after use≥If the battery is left attached to the moviecamera, a minute amount of current isconsumed even when the movie camera poweris [OFF]. If the battery is left attached to themovie camera for a long time, over-dischargetakes place. The battery may become unusableafter it is charged.≥The battery should be stored in a cool place freefrom humidity, with as constant temperature aspossible. (Recommended temperature: 15 oC to25 oC, Recommended humidity: 40% to 60%)≥Extremely high temperatures or lowtemperatures will shorten the life of the battery.≥If the battery is kept in a high-temperature, high-humidity, or oily-smoky places, the terminalsmay rust and cause malfunctions.≥To store the battery for a long period of time, werecommend you charge it once every year andstore it again after you have completely used upthe charged capacity.≥Dust and other matter attached to the batteryterminals should be removed.Prepare spare batteries when going out forrecording.≥Prepare batteries appropriate to 3 to 4 times theperiod during you want to record pictures in. Incold places such as a ski resort, the periodduring which you can record pictures isshortened.≥When you travel, do not forget to bring an ACadaptor so that you can recharge the batteriesat your destination.If you drop the battery accidentally, check tosee if the terminals are deformed.≥Attaching a deformed battery to the moviecamera or AC adaptor may damage the moviecamera or AC adaptor.Do not throw old battery into fire.≥Heating a battery or throwing it into a fire mayresult in an explosion.≥If the operating time is very short even after thebattery has been recharged, the battery hasworn out.
