REMOTE CONTROL OPERATIONProgramming The RemoteThe Universal Remote Control can be programmed tooperate many manufacturers' components, using thecomponent function buttons for VCR, DVD, DBS, RCVR orAUX. Follow the procedures for programming your RemoteControl with or without a code for the component.VCR VCR (Preset) Panas0nic c0deDBS . DBS STB & CBL STB (Preset) Panasonio DBS c0deRcyR,CBL panas0nic CABLE: codeNote: Determine the manufacturer of the component and lookin the table for the code.ProcedureConfirm that the external component is plugged andoperating.Turn the component off.POWERPress and together, for at least 5seconds.Press appropriate component button on the RemoteControl VCR, DVD, DBS, RCVR, CBL or AUX (PVR orVCR2)Enter the 3-digit component code using the RemoteControl numeric keypad (0 ~ 9 buttons).POWERPress the Remote Control _ to test the component.If the procedure was successful, the component willturn on.Note: If the component does not operate with the RemoteControl, repeat the procedure using another code.(Some brands have multiple codes). If an incorrect codeis entered, or if the procedure takes longer than 30seconds, the programming will fail.Programming Without A CodeThis procedure searches all codes and is called the"sequence method."Confirm that the external component is plugged inand on.Turn the component off.POWERPress and _ together, for at least 5seconds.Press appropriate component button on theRemote Control.Press VOL • to move forward to the next code.Press _ VOL to move backward.Note:POWERPress the Remote Control to test thecomponent. If the procedure was successful, thecomponent will turn on.Repeat the above steps until the component code isfound. It may take many attempts before the correctcode is found.After the code is found, press to store thecode.Component CodesThe Universal Remote Control is capable of operatingmany component brands after entering a code. Somecomponents may not operate because the codes are notavailable due to limited memory.
