( page 30)Cleaning the projector■ Cleaning the outer surface of theprojectorWipe off dirt and dust gently with a soft dry cloth.z If it is difficult to remove the dirt, soak a cloth in water,wring the cloth well and then wipe the projector. Drythe projector with a dry cloth.z Do not use petroleum benzene, thinner, anyalcoholic solvent, or kitchen detergents. Using thesesubstances may result in changes or damage to thesurface of the projector.z When using a chemically treated cloth, follow theaccompanying guidelines.■ Cleaning the lens surfaceIf dirt or dust accumulates on the surface of the lens, it willbe enlarged and projected onto the screen.Wipe dirt and dust from the front of the lens gently with aclean, soft, and dry cloth.z Do not use a fluffy rag, or a greasy, wet, or dirtycloth.z Do not rub the lens harshly as this may damage thesurface.Attentionz The lens is made of glass. It may break or crack if struckwith a hard object or rubbed harshly. Please be carefulwhen handling the lamp.■ Air filter unitIf too much dust accumulates in the air filter the internaltemperature of the projector cannot be maintained at thenormal level. A confirmation message is displayed on thescreen, and at the same time illuminates red. Thepower is cut off automatically after a while.
