The NTU obtains the LTU’s IP addresswhen the PPP link is established over the EOC. The LTU IP address and subnetmask are configured from the Communication Protocol Options menu.The Model 7976 Standalone Termination Unit is assigned an IP address throughthe Peer IP address of the M/SDSL Network interface menu. The standalonetermination unit can also be assigned an IP address and subnet mask for theCOM port. Once an address is assigned, you can manage the Model 7976Standalone Termination Unit’s ATI to assign an: IP address for each NMS to act as a trap manager.
