Check the write-protect switches to confirm they are set appropriately.12.4 Installing Cartridges in Cartridge SlotsThis section provides instructions for installing cartridges into the cartridge slots. Theseinstructions assume that you are manually placing the cartridges into the slots ratherthan importing them into the library using the I/O ports.You can store cartridges in the following locations:• Expansion Pods. As an option, it includes 116 cartridge slots.• Carousels. The carousel in an XLS-810160 provides storage slots for 155cartridges, while a XLS-810240 has 235 storage slots.• Fixed port assemblies. If fewer than two I/O ports are installed, the libraryincludes one or more fixed port assemblies behind the front panel. Each fixed portassembly includes 10 cartridge slots.• MEM. The carousel of the XLS-85000 MEM includes storage slots for 517cartridges.To install the cartridges, follow these steps:1. For each logical library, obtain the inventory report(s) for the logical library.
