The safety tab is on the endopposite from where the arrow points.The tab must be intact to record. You can repeatedly record over on the same tape as long as the tab isintact. If you want to protect a tape from accidental erasure, break off the tab.If you want to erase a recorded tape or record on a cassette with the tab removed, cover the hole withcellophane tape.Inserting and Ejecting a Video Cassette TapeTo insert a video cassette tape:1Hold the video cassettetape window-side up withthe arrow pointing awayfrom you.Don’t try to insert a tape upsidedown or backwards.Use only video tapes labeled “VHS.”European PAL VHS video tapes andS-VHS pre-recorded tapes aren’tcompatible with this unit. Choose brandname, high quality tapes for best results.2Gently push the tapethrough the compartmentdoor until you feel the VCRpull it.The VCR loads the tapeautomatically.If the power is off when you insert atape, the TV turns on automatically.If the safety tab of your video tape hasbeen removed, the tape begins to playautomatically.
