Your DLP™HDTV doesn’t use Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs), which meansyou don’t have to worry about screen burn (fixed video imagesburning onto the screen permanently) or convergence (realigningthe CRTs). The diagram on the left illustrates the complex system.Thin and LightThe efficiency of DLP™ technology enabled our design team tocreate a high-performance HDTV that is about 16 inches thin andweighs less than 100 pounds.Lamp ReplacementDLP™ technology uses a special lamp. Eventually, you’ll need toreplace this lamp, which you can do yourself by following theinstructions that come packed with the new lamp. To order thecorrect lamp, you’ll need to know your TV’s model number, serialnumber, and lamp type–this information is listed on the ServiceModel Number sticker (example of the sticker is shown on theleft). Face the back of the TV. The sticker is located on the rightside of the TV. The lamp type can also be found in the TV’s LampPower menu. Go to page 62 for more information.
