12Operation13OperationSetting the AlarmYou can set the alarm when the radio isswitched on or off. If the radio is switchedon, press DISPLAY to show the clock time.Set the Radio Alarm1. Press . The displayshows the currentalarm time and theicon flashes.2. Use the digit buttonsto enter the alarm time.3. Press to confirm.4. Tune the radio to the desired station.To check the alarm time1. Press to display the alarm time.2. Press to return to clock time.To cancel the radio alarmPress to enter radio alarm mode. Theneither:• Press C; the alarm icon disappears.OR• During the alarm, press POWER to turnoff the alarm for 24 hours.nNote: During the alarm, if you do not pressPOWER to turn off the alarm, the alarm soundsfor one hour.Set the Beep Alarm1. Press . The displayshows the last alarmtime set and theicon flashes.2. Use the digit buttonsto enter the alarm time.3. Press to confirm.To cancel the beep alarmPress to enter the beep alarm time mode.Then either:• Press C ; the alarm icon disappears.OR• When the alarm sounds, press POWERto turn off the alarm.nNote:• A repeat beep tone sounds when thebeep alarm activates. The alarm beep willincrease volume every 15 seconds for oneminute, followed by one minute of silencebefore repeating the cycle.• During the alarm, if you do not pressPOWER to turn off the alarm, the alarmsounds for one hour.Set the Sleep TimerThe sleep timer will automatically switch offthe radio according to the time you select.1. Press and holdPOWER/ . Thedisplay will cyclethrough the sleeptime options: 60, 30,15, 120, and 90 minutes.2. When your desired time appears,release POWER/ . The sleep iconand the radio frequency appear.After 2 seconds, the display shows thefrequency.To cancel the sleep timerPress POWER/ . The sleep icondisappears, the display reverts to clock time,and the radio turns off.
