Some SW stations use a special type of voice transmission calledSingle Side Band (SSB).To tune to a CW or SSB station, select the band and frequency andadjust the antenna. Set the FM/FM ST/SSB/AM switch to SSB. TheTUNE/SSB LED lights red. Turning from its midpoint, slowly adjust theCLARIFY dial until reception becomes clear. You can also use the tuningknob for best SSB reception.When you find a station, the TUNE/SSB LED lights orange.FM Mono/StereoTo listen to FM stereo broadcasts, tune to the station, plug in yourheadphones (not included), and set the FM/FM ST/SSB/AM switch toFM ST (stereo).
