Securethe mains cable using the cable clamp.These appliances are of type X with regard to protectionagainst overheating of the surrounding surfaces.Final ChecksHotplate CheckCheck each burner in turn. There is a flame supervision device(FSD) that stops the flow of gas to the burner if the flamegoes out.To light a burner, push in and turn the associated controlknob to the high position indicated by the large flame symbol().The igniter should spark and light the gas. Keep holding theknob pressed in to let the gas through to the burner for a fewseconds.If, when you let go of the control knob, the burner goes out,then the FSD has not been bypassed. Turn the control knobto the Off position and wait for one minute before you tryagain, this time making sure to hold in the control knob forslightly longer.Oven CheckTurn on the oven and check that it starts to heat up. Checkthat the oven lights are working.
