Check tires for proper inflation. Tires have been overinflated for transport.Tractor 10-22 psi (138-152 kPa)Deck - 20-25 psi (138-173 kPa)2. Check battery connectionsMake absolutely certain the ignition switch is “Off”and the key has been removed before servicing thebattery.Verify battery polarity before connecting ordisconnecting the battery cables.When installing the battery, always assemble theRED, positive (+) battery cable first and the ground,BLACK, negative (-) cable last.Make sure battery is properly installed and securedto the battery tray.Tighten cables securely to battery terminals andapply a light coat of silicone dielectric grease toterminals and cable ends to prevent corrosion. Keepvent caps and terminal covers in place3.3 THROTTLE STOP __________________________________________________________1. Remove throttle stop pivot hardware (B and C).2. Remove throttle stop detent hardware (D).3. Loosely assemble throttle stop pivot hardware (B).Discard washers (C).4. Move throttle stop (A) to mow position. Lock throttlestop in mow position using hardware (D).5. Securely tighten hardware (B and D). Throttle stop(A) must not be able to move.6.
