4.1 Saving user data and user settingsYou can save your waypoints, routes, tracks anduser settings to a memory card. Waypoints, routesand tracks are saved as gpx data files. The GPX fileformat is a device-independent format universallyused, simplifying data exchange between Raymarineand other manufacturer’s products. With theintroduction of LightHouse II Release 14, support forRaymarine’s legacy data archiving format archive.fshhas been removed.The process for converting an archive.fsh file to thenew GPX file format is as follows:1. Using an MFD with LightHouse II Release 8or lower, export user data to MicroSD card(archive.fsh format).2. Update the MFD to LightHouse II Release 13.3. Import the archive.fsh file from MicroSD card.4. Export user data to MicroSD card (GPX format).5. Update the MFD to LightHouse II Release 14or greater.6. Import user data (GPX format) from the MicroSDcard.Alternatively Raymarine’s Voyage Planner softwarecan also be used to convert archive.fsh file to GPXformat.Saving all user data to a memory cardYou can save all user data to one archive file.With the Homescreen displayed:1. Ensure you have a memory card (NOT a chartcard) inserted into a card slot.2. Select My Data.3. Select Import/Export.4. Select Save Data to Card.5. Select Save All.The on-screen keyboard is displayed.6. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the filenameyou want to save the file as.7. Select SAVE.If your display has more than 1 card slot then amessage is displayed prompting you to select theslot you want to save data to, if your display onlyhas 1 card slot then you will not be prompted.8. Select SD1 for a memory card in the top card slot,or SD2 for a memory card in the bottom card slot.A confirmation dialog is displayed.9. Select OK.Saving waypoints to a memory cardWith the Homescreen displayed:1. Ensure you have a memory card (NOT a chartcard) inserted into a card slot.2. Select My Data.3. Select Import/Export.4.
