Ensure the battery holder switch is in the Remote position and / or wallmounted battery holder (if equipped) is in the position.2. Press and release the ON/OFF button on the remote handheld transmitter(see Diagram 1). An audible beep should be heard from the receiver. Ifnot using the remote, the unit can also be turned on by sliding the batteryholder switch to the position (if equipped).Note: The first try for ignition will last approximately 60 seconds. If there is noflame ignition (rectification) the board will stop sparking for approximately35 seconds. After wait time , the board will start second try for ignition bysparking for approximately 60 seconds . If there is still no positive ignitionthe board will go into lock out.The system will need to be reset as follows:a) Turn the system off by pressing the ON/OFF button on the remote.b) Wait 5 minutes then repeat from step 2.Shutdown Procedure1. Press the ON/OFF button on the remote2. If service is to be performed- you must disconnect power and shut off gasto the unit.ON/OFFButtonDiagram 13. After approximately 15 seconds (for powervent models) the spark ignitionsystem will spark for 60 seconds to light the main burner.4.
