26 E33 FPI Direct Vent Gas InsertINSTALLATION1) Align the left side Faceplate Trim Bracketwith the Firebox Flange and secure using2 screws as shown in diagram 1. Repeatfor right side.FaceplateTrim BracketFireboxFlangeIMPORTANT NOTE:When using the Surround, the unit must be set1" further into the fireplace than the standardfaceplate installation. See the "MinimumFireplace Opening Excalibur Option" section.Diagram 12) Push the Blanking Plate down on top of theGlass Door (refer to Diagram 2).Blanking PlateTop ofGlassDoorEXCALIBUR ® SURROUND6) Place Bottom Frame near hinge. Flip hingeover Bottom Frame and secure with 3 screwseach.5) Install Spring Hinges to the Left and RightSide of the bottom of the firebox using 2screws per hinge.BottomFrameHinge Location7) Install the Left and Right Side Screen Doorsby placing over top of the hinges on thefaceplate. Hold the door at a 45 degreeangle to avoid scratching the faceplate.8) Close screen doors.HingeScreen Door3) Hold the Faceplate Trim up against theunit in order to make the following wireconnections.3a) Pull the ON/OFF connector wires from thefirebox and connect them to the switch.3b) Connect the fan switch wires with the wireconnectors from the fan speed control. Placeclips over wires and tuck into side trim.for gasconnection Self-adhesivewire clipON/OFFswitchwires toON/OFFswitch wires toFan switchconnectorsFan SpeedSwitch(Rear View)4) Secure the Faceplate by sliding the slots inthe Faceplate into the flanges on the left andright side Faceplate Trim Brackets.
