38 Regency ® P36D-1 Zero Clearance Direct Vent Gas FireplaceINSTALLATIONInstallation of the DC Sparker:16) Verify that if the conversion is fromNG to LPG, the screw must be re-assembled with the red o-ring visible(Fig. 5).LPG ConfigurationRed o-ring visibleFig.517) Re-assemble the black protectioncap (Fig. 6).Fig. 6WARNING!Also check that the pilot and mainburner injectors are appropriate forthe gas type.19) Attach the label "This unit has beenconverted to LPG" near or on top of theserial # decal.20) Replace yellow "NG" label with red"LPG" label.21) Locate the Piezo Ignitor situated at theside of valve.22) Remove the Piezo Ignitor by unscrewingthe nut at the back of the mountingbracket.23) Disconnect the ignitor wire from thePiezo Ignitor and connect it to the DCSparker.PiezoIgnitorIgnitorWirePiezoIgnitorIgnitorWireDCSparker18) Reverse steps 6 - 1.Fig. 111) Remove the blackprotection cap by handfrom the hi-low knob(Fig.1).Fig.214) Flip the screw (Fig. 3).Fig.4Fig.315) Using the Allen wrenchas shown in Fig.4, rotatethe screw clockwise untilsnug, do not overtighten.12) Insert a 5/32” or 4mmAllen wrench into thehexagonal key-wayof the screw (Fig.2), rotate it counter-clockwise until it is freeand extract it.13) Check that the screw is clean and ifnecessary remove dirt.WARNING!Do not over tighten the screw.Recommended togrip the wrench by the short side.24) Connect the DC spark generator wiresto the SIT Valve with the screw, which isprovided in the kit.18a) Install the air deflector to the back wall ofthe firebox using 2 screws.Air DeflectorFor U32-5 Only:9) Reinstall new burner orifice LPGstamped #52 and tighten.10) Turn control knob to the “OFF” position.
