Important Sending Facts c o n t i n u e dVoice Request Confirmation ReportIf you are sending a document andwant to speak to the remote party ;1. Press [V.REQUEST] while sending.If you hear a warbling tone and thewindow displays [VOICE REQUEST]when sending is finished :The V.REQUEST indicator lights toconfirm your request. But your requestwill not go through until the unitfinishes sending the last document.The remote party wants to talk to you.Simply pick up the handset and say“Hello.”A confirmation report will be printed outafter every send operation if you haveselected this feature to be activated byanswering [YES] to the prompt[CONFIRMATION REPORT] while setting“User Options” (see page 36).Example is provided below.2. When sending is finished, the callsignal is sent to the remote party’sunit. The remote party may pick up thehandset within 15 seconds if they wishto speak.If you do not respond to the voicerequest, your unit will print out a call backmessage, which shows the telephonenumber of the remote unit.If no one answers the request within15 seconds, the signal ends.
