035Adjusting the Viewfinder to Your EyesightAdjust the viewfinder to suit your eyesight. If it is difficult to see the viewfinderimage clearly, slide the diopter adjustment lever sideways. You can slide thediopter from -2.5 m-1 to +1.5 m-1.1. Aim the AF point over the subject, and then press the shutter button halfway.2. Adjust the diopter adjustment lever to suityour eyesight.- Viewfinder is adjusted to your eyesight.The eyecup is attached to theviewfinder portion when cameraleaves the factory. Diopter adjustmentis available with the eyecup attached.However, adjustment is easier with theeyecup removed as shown above. Toremove the eyecup, pull upward andremove as shown on the right.Using the full automatic program modeUsing the Zoom ringUsing the zoom ring, you can enlarge (telephoto angle) or reduce (wide angle)the size of an image by changing the focal length value of the camera lens.Adjust it to the desired size and take the picture.1. Position the subject in focus.2. Turn the zoom ring to the right or left.- Turn the zoom ring clockwise for telephotoand counterclockwise for wide angle.● Look through the viewfinder to compose your picture at the focallength that looks right for your purpose.
