18_ setting up4. Lock the Cylinder into place by pressing the Lever.• The inner pressure of the Cylinder may make it difficult to press the lever down. Holdthe lever as shown in the illustration on the right, and then push down.• If you don’t lock the cylinder into place, the refrigerator won’t produce sparklingwater.• If the cylinder is not tightly connected to the Regulator, it will leak CO 2 gas, producinga hiss. If this occurs, repeat Steps 2, 3, and 4, making sure that the cylinder is firmlyattached and locked into place.5. Press the Sparkling Water button 3 seconds to run the Cylinder Reset function. Wait about 20 minutes. (theamount of time needed for a medium level of carbonation) while the refrigerator makes sparkling water.• To make sparkling water, the refrigerator injects CO2 from the CO2 cylinder into water stored in the SparklingWater tank. The water enters the tank through the refrigerator’s water supply line.Press 3 secondsPress 3 seconds6. To remove any residual substances that may be in the water, dispense 2 or 3 large glass fulls of Sparkling Waterand empty them into a sink.For more information about using the Sparkling Water function, see Using the Sparkling Water Function.Completing the Set UpNow that you have your new refrigerator installed in place, you are ready to set up and enjoy thefeatures and functions of the appliance. By completing the following steps, your refrigerator should befully operational.1. Make sure your refrigerator is in an appropriate location with reasonable clearance between it andthe wall. Refer to installation instructions in this manual.2. Once the refrigerator is plugged in, make sure the interior light comes on when you open the doors.3. Set the Temperature control to the coldest temperature and wait for an hour. The freezer will getslightly chilled and the motor will run smoothly. Reset the refrigerator and freezer to the temperaturesyou want.4. After you plug the refrigerator in, it will take a few hours to reach the appropriate temperature. Youcan store food and drinks in the refrigerator after the temperature is sufficiently cool.If condensation or water drops appears on both sides of fridge door’s central part, turn theEnergy Saver mode off after removing the condensation.
