29Call FunctionsAnswering a CallWhen somebody calls you, the phone rings anddisplays the incoming call image.When the caller can be identified, the caller’sphone number, or name if stored in your PhoneBook, displays.1. Press the key or the Accept soft key toanswer the incoming call.When the Anykey Answer option in theExtra Settings menu (Menu 7.7) isactivated, you can press any key to answer acall except for the key and the Rejectsoft key. See page 148.When the Active Slide option in the ExtraSettings menu (Menu 7.7) is activated, youcan answer the call simply by push the sliderup. See page 148.Note: To reject the call, press and hold one ofthe Volume keys, or press the Reject softkey or key.2. End the call by pressing the key.Note: You can answer a call while using PhoneBook or menu features. After ending thecall, the phone returns to the functionscreen you were using.Making a Call from Phone BookYou can store phone numbers that you useregularly in the SIM card or in the phone’smemory, which are collectively called PhoneBook.Once you have stored numbers in Phone Book,you can dial a number by pressing a few keys orassign your most frequently-used numbers tonumber keys using the Speed Dial feature.For further details about the Phone Bookfeatures, see page 35.Adjusting the VolumeDuring a call, if you want to adjust the earpiecevolume, use the Volume keys on the left side ofthe phone.Press the key to increase the volume level andthe key to decrease the level.In Idle mode with the slider pushed up, youcan also adjust the keypad tone volume usingthese keys.28Call Functions
