34Selecting Functions and Options35Phone BookYou can store phone numbers and theircorresponding names in both your SIM card andyour phone’s memories. They are physicallyseparate but are used as a single entity, calledPhone Book.Note: Depending on the manufacture of your SIMcard, the maximum number of phonenumbers the SIM card can store may differ.Storing a Number with a NameThere are two ways to store a number:• Using the Save soft key in Idle mode• Using the New Entry option in the PhoneBook menuStoring a Number in Idle ModeAs soon as you start to enter a number, Saveappears above the left soft key to allow you tostore the number in Phone Book.1. Enter the number you want to store.Note: If you make a mistake while entering anumber, correct it using the C key. Forfurther details, see page 26.2. When you are sure that it is correct, press theSave soft key.3. Select an icon to identify the category of thenumber to be stored. Three categories areavailable:• : Mobile phone number• : Office number• : Home numberTo select the category, press the Left or Rightkey and press the Select soft key.To view the various functions and optionsavailable and to select the one you want:1. Press the appropriate soft key.2. Enter the code and press theOK soft key.Note: When you access a list of options, yourphone highlights the current option. If,however, there are only two options, such asOn/Off or Enable/Disable, your phonehighlights the option that is not currentlyactive so that you can select it directly.
